eXacteXposure > "The Granaries" is a difficult shot for several reasons. The hike is one of them!

eXacteXposure > Another remote ruin requiring an exhaustive vertical decent and assent has its rewards... and risks! Morning light is the ONLY way to photography these beautiful structures. This light lasts only for a few brief hours after sunrise, therefore a 4:00 am departure is required to experience this phenomenon before harsh light enters the alcove.

eXacteXposure > Some ruins can be easily missed from the canyon floor. It seems that the ancient ancestral puebloan ruins look to be camouflaged; however a more realistic explanation is that the structures were located in areas that provided survival of food stores during harsh winter months.

eXacteXposure > Print name: "Under the Heat". This 15 X 23" print gives the ruin a completely different look from other views you may have seen.

eXacteXposure > A close-up of this Ancestral Puebloan ruin shows just how special this location is. Thankfully it is well hidden from people and the elements and this should ensure its long term survival.

Reminder you should NEVER touch any structure with your oily hands and always hike out what you hike in... Leave NO trace!
